Kitchen
- dust the molding on the upper part of the walls/ceiling
- clean the ceiling fans – you must get on a step stool and wipe them down the first
time in a house
- clean any light fixtures
- dust any vents well
- clean the top of the upper cabinets
- wipe down the front of the upper cabinets
- clear off the top of the refrigerator – then clean it, not just dust, put back anything
that you took off
- wipe down exterior of refrigerator – clean with degreaser – then finish with stainless
steel cleaner if it is stainless steel
- clean the microwave inside and out
- remove anything on the countertop
- clean the backsplash
- clean the counter top and sink – make sure that the front and underside of the
counter gets cleaned as well (used granite/marble cleaner if appropriate)
- take the stove top registers apart cleaning them in the sink
- clean the stove top gently – no harsh abrasives degreasers work fine – if a glass top
do not use any thing that can scratch
- wipe down the exterior of the bottom cabinets
- open the cabinet doors and wipe down the interior of the doors
- clean the exterior of the oven
- clean the exterior of the dishwasher
- wipe down all sockets and light switches
- clean windows glass, frame and sill
- clean baseboards – wiping them down, not just dusting
- take out the trash and replace liners
- clean the floors making sure to get inside any closets and pantries sweeping then
mopping
Bathroom
- dust corners and ceiling
- clean any light fixtures
- dust any vents well
- shower/tubs clean tile and using the Clorox and the mildew cleaner
- wipe down all fixtures
- clean out soap dishes and any shelving in shower/tub
- clean any track doors and inside the tracks moving doors to get all sides
- clean doors
- clean tub/shower floor
- commode clean top first, then inside , seat top and bottom, then bottom of commode
making sure to clean the back side as well and polish chrome piping
- clean mirrors
- clean sink and cabinets
- clean inside drawers and cabinets
- clean light switches
- clean floor
- wipe down door frames and lastly door knobs
Bedroom and Common Rooms
- dust any molding and corners of ceiling to wall
- dust any vents
- dust and clean fans and light fixtures(if it is over a bed please open up a trash bag
and put it under before you do so
- polish all furniture using rags never spray on furniture
- clean any pictures mirrors etc
- windows clean the glass, frame, and sills
- change linens if they are left out for you
- clean base boards
- clean floors – if there are area rugs vacuum them then take them up and clean under
them then lay them back where they were
After you are finished cleaning
1. go back through the whole house and go over this checklist again
2. make sure you leave no equipment behind and do not take anything that doesn’t
belong to us
3. collect payment
4. thank the customer and make sure they are happy before you leave
